18th century bed and breakfast in southern France, open June – September 2018

On a the pretty pedestrianised village square beside the beautiful old church, our bed and breakfast offers all the lovely traditional character you would expect from an 18th century French country home; parquet floors, ancient stone walls, old beams and fireplaces, winding staircases, shuttered windows. Rated Excellent on Tripadvisor since our first year, our rooms are furnished with French antiques, have private facilities, super comfy beds, hairdryer, bath products and magazines. Enjoy complimentary hot drinks, good WiFi and free parking; baby equipment on request. Dinner with some very nice regional wines served most evenings, Nick caters well for special diets, reservations required.

Price is € 92 per night for 2 people in a double or twin room including breakfast. A cot will fit in all our rooms.

BARN ROOM ~ spacious double room with en suite shower at the back of the house so a bit cooler in summer. Furnished with lovely old French pieces, stylishly lit by the chandelier hanging from the double height ceiling, A door leads to a tiny balcony overlooking the terrace.

ROOM 1 ~ another spacious double room overlooking the square and beautiful old church. Parquet floor, shuttered windows, French antique bed and furnishings. The private bathroom is next to the bedroom, down 3 steps, with claw foot bath, rainfall shower and dual sinks, “the bathroom was bigger than our apartment in Rome.” 

ROOM 2 ~ a room with 2 single beds overlooking the square. Parquet floor, shuttered windows, old fire place with chateau style mirror and beautiful French armoire. The private bathroom is separate, down 3 steps, with claw foot bath, rainfall shower and dual sinks.

FAMILY / FRIENDS SUITE ~ rooms 1 & 2 have a connecting door so may be booked together and would share the large bathroom. € 184 for 4 people with breakfast plus cot if required

BREAKFAST ~ leisurely breakfasts served on the terrace or in the square by the church. Bread home made or fresh from the boulangerie, croissants, apple juice from the village orchards, home made jams, orange juice, yoghurt, local seasonal fruit from the market– luscious green figs, peaches, melon – selection of teas and coffee as strong as you like. Dinner served most evenings, Nick’s cooking has great reviews, traditional French home cooking with a fine dining twist, reservations required.
